How we build an explanation.
We use manufacturer documentation, software documentation and other suitable primary references. We write original summaries and record supporting references against stable factual claims and comparison dimensions. Individual pages link to the material used.
What a connection means.
Factual connections describe a specific relationship under stated conditions: a setting affects an outcome, a concept forms part of a system, or two choices have useful contrasts. “Explore next” is an editorial learning suggestion, not a scientific claim. Arrows indicate direction where it matters; the list view gives the same explanations as the map.
What a review date means.
A source-check date records when the listed references were checked during preparation of that explanation. It is not an expert credential, certification or claim that every possible camera behaves identically. The first collection was checked on 3 October 2026. We correct content when evidence or a useful report identifies an issue.
Illustrations and the playground.
The camera illustrations, relationship diagrams and teaching scenes are original SEK illustrations. They are not manufacturer photographs. The exposure playground is a deterministic teaching model with fixed illumination, lens, scene geometry and camera position. Depth of field, motion blur and noise are visual approximations; the model does not predict an individual camera's output.
Commercial independence.
No paid placements or affiliate links are configured for this launch. If added later, commercial destinations will be disclosed where they appear. Comparisons describe conditional trade-offs rather than a universal winner.
